Two Schooners #030: Dust, iSnacks and Soggy Mixers

Sketches by Mez - Dust StormIn a week where you can literally taste the dust, Dave’s mixer get’s a taste of the liquid gold, amber courage and comes off a little worse for wear. Not as bad as the new name for Vegemite as some marketing bright-spark genius decides that ‘isnack 2.0′ will convince more people to eat their poo-brown concoction of processed cheese and the old Australian favourite. This is just some of the tastiest morsels simmering away at the bottom of the bag, this week, as Dave and James settle in to the bar, with an ice-cold brew for the 30th episode of 2Schooners.

At this point, the guys would like to un-thank Herne for the 30th Episode cake, and remind all our listeners to send in your pictures to adorn our 2Schooners twitter page to yourshout@twoschooners.com

  1. Glad to see I could cause mayhem during the recording of 2Schooners once again. My job is done!

  2. do you think a 2schooners t-shirt would go down well at school? I don’t think that the prison guards are the smartest people around which is maybe why they got the job in the first place.

  3. Hi guys! Thanks for the kind words and the shoutouts! Dave seemed rather excited about the fact that I’m a train driver. Seeing as though I don’t drive anyway near Dave’s house (I’d need a bloody long extension cord!), I’ll mentally give him a massive horn. Don’t worry, James, I’ll give you a massive horn as well.

I was lucky I missed the dust strom as I was asleep during the whole thing and the sky was a lot clearer. Ferries and planes were cancelled, buses were delayed but my guys were pretty close to 100% on time running that morning!

I’d heard the answering machine message before. I think I might have heard it on Get This.

  4. Beer and Elephants… sounds like a great idea.. just explain what u intend to do with the elephants are they partaking in the beer drinking?
Might be a bit of a waist of beer as these scientists with a bit too much time on their hands put the myth of drunk elephants to rest. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2005/12/1219_051219_drunk_elephant.html then again, tell that to these 6 poor Asians who got trampled to death by some ‘drunk’ elephants. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/2583891.stm
Either way looking forward to the beer.
