Virgin and Inflight Podcasts
The latest in what I predict will be a series of announcements has come from Virgin America today, where they have announced an exclusive podcast content deal where Revision3 will provide their content on Virgin’s inflight entertainment system between certain cities on domestic routes.
This follows an earlier announcement last year that Boing Boing TV had been secured exclusively to provide daily video updates.
The market seems to be ripe for the networks who are producing quality content to start thinking more laterally about other avenues for their podcast content.
This week you can hear me on The Podcast Network’s Global Geek Podcast episode #75. I join GGP hosts Dave and Cait for a special show talking about Securing your Online Identity.
After an extended recovery break I’m working on Episode 4 of The Podcasters’ Emporium. I’ll be including the Online Identity Security segment in my next episode because it has some timely messages for those of you participating in social networks of all shapes and sizes.

It seems the Virgin brand wants to available in all formats across all channels. It already has Virgin media as a cable network, radio, print and inflight entertainement and podcasts.
We hoping to see if we can work on several interesting media products for Virgin related distribution.
