Episode 5: Unpacking my podcasting journey
Podcast: Play in new window | Download (21.9MB)
Two episodes in as many weeks is just about as good as it gets! Thanks for tuning in to another episode of Podcasters Emporium! And Happy Chinese New Year to all!
In this episode I speak with Ruth Phillips, my co-host on the In Spirit Podcast. We talk candidly about our experiences starting out in podcasting more than 2 years ago and how our show has changed over this time. We discuss the value of services like UStream.TV and how they can help connect with your audience and we also talk about the future.
Importantly I raise the issue of taste vs. current product and how this gap is a constant challenge for podcasters starting out. If you are in the position now where your podcast sound is not quite where you want it to be, see this as a gap to be improved rather than an obstacle. This is a journey for nearly every content creator.
Sometimes the inclination can be to give up, because we can’t quickly reach our own high taste standard. The challenge is to push on and go through the journey because it makes the end result so much more worthwhile.
During the show I invite listeners to take the journey with us, by going back and listing to some of the early episodes of the podcast, to compare with our current shows and see the differences between them. you’ll find these shows at www.inspiritpodcast.com
Thanks for taking the time to tune in today.
