It’s fresher than (an) Apple
Two things have happened this week one really stoopid and one totally awesome:
First, the awesome…
I’m so excited to be co-hosting a brand new podcast with her called (and what a great name) Oh Behave! with Gabby Mead.
This podcast is no new it’s not even listed in Apple iTunes yet.
Gabby is a local Newcastle resident and is often heard on the radio talking about particular media issues to do with children, schooling, child development and behaviour. She’s been working in the child behaviour area for more than 30 years, and with 4 children of her own she has lots of experience in effective parenting.
I can’t take any credit for the name at all – it all just tumbled out of Gab’s head on the morning we met to discuss the podcast.
The most amazing thing about the podcast, was the first episode was laid down in one track, first go and the whole podcast was done, dusted, branded, uploaded and blogged within 4 hours.
I just wanted to let people know how much fun we had today, and Gab if you’re reading this, you’re a gem to work with. Thanks for agreeing to the program!
And now let’s deal with stoopid:
Stoopid this week goes to IINet.
This week, IINet couldn’t take a line fault on my telephone because their system was down… and wait for it….
Now, I don’t know about you, when your telephone is down, it starts to get awkward to make telephone calls. And they don’t allow people to lodge a fault report by email, it must be by telephone.
Wouldn’t you think that people working in a telephone company call centre could get their head around the fact that if your telephone is down, it might actually be hard to make a phone call?
Thanks for stopping by the Podcasters’ Emporium
