Viewzi – Visual-based Search

Have you checked out Viewzi yet? It’s a new, visual and different way of searching for content on the web. With video and image based content fast overtaking more traditional forms this site is likely to become very popular, and quickly.

With more and more users prefering podcasts in video form, and sites like Qik set to revolutionize the way we see the world, Viewzi is going to be a new way of finding this new and interesting content.

Viewzi presents graphical representations of search results drawn from many areas, both traditional search engines like Google and other pertinent results like Amazon. You can choose the format you like best to view your content, and the options are bound to surprise you.

Here’s just one example of a search I did – looking specifically at video content.

This particular search brought back content from YouTube, Blinkx and Veoh all on one page, and in a moving picture format. The screen is constantly moving, giving you an indication of what is included in content. It’s a neat feature.

This is just my initial post, and I will likely bring you more on Viewzi. It’s open now for public beta and worth trying out.
