Before you buy Tweet Tornado, you might want to read this…

Tweet Tornado is an interesting new product to hit the market, but I question whether this product is worth the expense you are being expected to fork out for it. Let me explain why even spending $50 is too much.

Twitter is not a messaging service for spruiking product. Twitter is an online community of human beings who are online to converse with each other.

Tweet Tornado in my opinion (and it is only mine), is setup as a messaging device to make it easy to spread the word about products and services you want to sell. It talks about how easy it is to setup bogus accounts, and even goes so far as to tell you if you want people to follow you then put a picture of a ‘hot chick’ in the profile.

Hot chick or not, the Twitter users worth reaching (i.e. those who aren’t just around for sightseeing), know how to detect spam accounts on twitter, by these exact tell tale signs. For them, clicking the block button totally disables the account you just created, meaning that your message will never reach them or anyone else on twitter.

Is that a service you really want to pay a monthly fee for? Quite frankly you are being taken for a ride, because you can do everything Tweet Tornado does for free… and the bogus accounts it sets up are both highly detectable and eradicated with the click of a link by Twitter users.

So how can you really get value out of Twitter? Because twitter is a social community the best way to get a message across about you and your products and services is to become a part of the community.

Don’t barge in and start blabbing, but create contacts with those of similar interest, listen, and then when appropriate join in the conversation. Just like you wouldn’t walk into a room of unknown people and start blabbing about your products and services, take time to get to know people, and then slowly introduce what you are about. Who knows? You might even find that when you share your expertise people are interested.

You will not get anywhere on twitter, trying to ram products down people’s throats. The community will block your effort at every turn. If you go about it the right way, by building realtionships you will be welcomed with open arms.

Is Tweet Tornado worth the money? In my opinion, definitely not.

  1. You need to realize that as long a online communites such as tweeter and craiglist have the number of members that they have there will always be people wanting to capitalize on that.
Where as I can understand your frustration you are wrong to think that people are wasting their time trying to take advantage of these types of services.

Where there is a will there is a way. I used to be a big spammer years ago. I know that does not make me popular. However, I do not do it anymore. Why? Everyone tells you that you will not make money spamming so you are wasting your time. Well I spammed for 5 years and made over 4 million dollars.

Reaching mass audiences is lucrative for any business. As long as laws are not broken you need to realize it is just part of life. No different that getting junk mail when you walk to the mail box everyday.

You may say well I pay for my internet service and my real mail box is not the same. Well if you do not think you pay for all that junk mail being sent to you in your real mailbox you are living on another planet. Who do you think pays for trash bags, the garbage men, and the people that have to pick up all the junk mail that ends up on our planet????

Wake up people. The internet is for everyone, including advertisers. If you don’t like it then stay off the net. It will be here for ever.

  2. I’m not sure anyone in this forum would be convinced of your stance, on this issue however it really didn’t address at all the points about the Tweet Tornado product.

What I am saying in this article is that Tweet Tornado is a waste of money, on the basis that efforts to spam twitter using it, will and are getting blocked on Twitter. The net result of the blocking is that messages generated through Tweet Tornado are being prevented from getting through to all users, once a user is blocked.

If I was a spammer, I would not want to be paying money each month for a product that doesn’t do its job effectively.

The case in point is Twitter is a far better product to engage and reach than just for spamming, and you would be more likely to get far superior results than bulk messaging – on this medium – with engagement rather than bulk messaging.

I definitely agree that bulk mail and bulk email are the same, except that the costs are lower for email spammers – that makes it no less effective.

My question (from this article) is why pay money for a product like Tweet Tornado, then you could do it yourself, and more effectively if you put some time into it and did it for free.

As an aside Anonymous – feel free to stand up for your own comments and put your name to them, it may give them more weight.

  3. I use Tweet Tornado.. They just raised their price to $99.99 per month but they had a 1 1/2 hour training video to explain the software. Before the video was even over I had made 2 sales on a $149.00 product!

If you dont think its worth the money then don’t buy it but don’t go around pretending to be an expert on software you never even used yourself!

Thanks TweetTornado, my family is eating well!

  4. TweetTornado only adds followers, People have to click on the page and choose to follow someone so there is no spam involved, only optin marketing. The only people who receive anything are the people who follow and give permission. Everyone needs to realize this is not like a typical spam tool. This is permission based optin marketing! And if twitter would quit shutting the accounts down for no good reason then the software wouldn’t have to create unlimited accounts anymore. I don’t see how this software is bad for twitter, anyone can do the same thing without software the difference is this software saves you alot of time following people.

So to all you people who think I am wrong, ask yourself this question…

If a person must willingly choose to follow me and it is also their choice to click on my link to see whatever I am offering to “help” them, Then how could this be considered spam?

P.S. thanks to the blog owner for advertising my service, I’m getting lots of new customers now. haha.

  7. I use Tweet Tornado and no I did not make the program I’m just a user. So far my results have paid for my monthly fee in just 1 day.

If you buy this program and cannot make your money back PLUS some then you shouldn’t be marketing online to begin with.

I have to agree that I don’t think its spam. The program follows someone HOWEVER that person has to agree to follow them. If you think it looks like spam or fake or whatever then DON’T agree to follow this person.

If your account Twitter account is setup to accept followers automatically like most people have it well then shame on you! You are just saying “SPAM ME”. Why would you want to follow everyone anyway?

So does the software work? Yes it does, and as I said before if you cannot make your money back PLUS some using it then you just cannot market.

If you don’t want someone to follow you cause you don’t like the picture, url, bio whatever then don’t accept them. If you have your profile setup for auto accept followers then be prepared to get everyone and anyone following you and you following them.
