How does this work?

Each show we present a single track of music which the artists have said can be used on podcasts. When you hear a piece you like, review the show notes for details on how to register and use this music in your podcast.

It is vital that you follow instructions contained in the show notes, in order to be copyright compliant.  Reading about or hearing music on this podcast does not grant you any right to reproduce this music in your own podcast.

Obtaining artist permission to use their music:

You must follow instructions contained in each podcast, or the show notes. It is important for your own protection to obtain written clearance to use an artists music in your podcast for each piece of music you use.  Podcasters’ Emporium Podcast has an excellent show explaining what you should do to play an independent musician’s music in your podcast.

Permission to use pre-cleared podsafe music:

Some music we play has been pre-cleared for podsafe use.  In order to use this music, however, you must register for free with the clearing house.  We play music from both Mevio Music Alley and Ioda Promonet.  So review the show notes carefully, and register your podcast with these providers.  Follow instructions the providers give you on how register your use of these podsafe music tracks, in order to be compliant.

You listen and use the information in this podcast entirely at your own risk.  Podsafe Picks will not be held responsible for incorrect information, or your incorrect use of music in podcasts.  You, as the podcast publisher are responsible for all content published in their podcast and on their blog or website.
