Tackle Zone Radio #004 – What Is Wrong With Deodorant?

In this episode Shawn and Matt are joined by Nathan (aka GreedySmurf) from their local league to talk about running tournaments. It was a more casual, discussion based show this time around and you might hear the opening of beers throughout. So join the gang as they shoot the breeze about tournaments and Blood Bowl.

Good news this week -

Facebook group is working now! So find us by searching in groups for Tackle Zone Radio.

Matt is going to Gen Con Oz and will (hopefully if the mail comes in time) will have giveaways (while stocks last!) if you tell him the secret codeword from Episode 4.

Here’s the general rundown on what was talked about:

Tournaments – Different ways of running tournaments. Important things to remember and do. Thoughts on prize support. The importance of NAF.

  1. I had a blast being a guest on the show! Thanks for the invite Shaun & Matt. For me it was a new experience, and something I enjoyed immensely. (Even if I can’t get used to the sound of my own voice! – Is that me? Really? You sure?)

If anyone is interested where the particualry jovial attitude for Episode 4 came from, I suspect apart from my presence, it may have something to do with the background noises around the following time marks – 27:10, 44:30, & 50:30 :-)

  2. Hey Guys, great Ep.
    NAF Website is http://www.bloodbowl.net
It costs $15 us to join, but you can contact a guy on Ausbowl called Babs, who is the Australasian NAF representative, and talk to him about joining.

  3. Another fun show. My most recent Tourny experience was a wooden spoon with an 0-4-1 record. Showing up with a team I had never played without really a plan of how to play them really caused some problems. Atleast I picked up a prize for stinking so bad.

It was a restricted skill access tourny that while people did not think they would like certainly added something to the games compared to everyone loading up on block, dodge, and guard.
